Toronto’s Fashion Week kicked off yesterday with four runway shows styled by: Gaudet, preloved, Jules Power, and Ryerson University’s School of Fashion. I particularly enjoyed Gaudet’s show because of their use of strong colors, but in the end, the Ryerson students gave the audience a terrific show with “Dinner is served’ as their theme.

The world of fashion comes together in Toronto and I’ll be in the front row to cover it all! The week kicked off last night with a runway show by IZMA designers Izzy Camilleri and Adrian Mainella.  I’ll be updating every day as to the progress of the show so subscribe to my RSS feed or visit often for the latest on Toronto’s Fashion Week!

Ok, so this will be my last update before the big release telling you all about this really great session with Toronto’s Fashion Designer Diana Velez. Below is yet another gorgeous model featuring one of Diana’s pieces. Enjoy!

I’ve been sorting and editing and it’s hard to decide which images I love the most for this project. Nonetheless, I thought I share with you another one of my favorite images. Enjoy!

This weekend, just before Canada’s glorious Olympic hockey triumph (GO CANADA!!!), I photographed an incredible woman. Diana Velez is one of Toronto’s newest and hottest fashion designers to date. With over 20 years as one of Colombia’s top fashion designers, Diana is here in Canada with a brand new line that is bound to set the latest trends in fashion. I call Diana “incredible” because she has an amazing energy and is so passionate about every piece of garment she designs. She brings to Canada something rare and unique that has caught the attention of every woman and man that walk by her boutique on Yonge and Sheppard: gorgeous hand-embroidered dresses.

In the next coming weeks, I will be shooting Diana’s new line and I am excited and honored. We held a very successful modeling casting session yesterday and we have an upcoming one on Wednesday to pick the best models in town. If you would like more information on that, contact me by using the form above. Aside from this coming shoot, we are also planning a summer fashion show that is bound to rock the industry, so stay tuned! In the mean time, enjoy this portrait of Diana, taken yesterday. Even though her website is not fully available yet, I encourage you to visit her boutique in Sheppard Centre (4841 Yonge ST). As soon as her website is up, you will hear from me!
