Hey gang! I’m here in Puerto Rico and I just got out of Viviana and Jose’s destination wedding! Puerto Rico is truly the “Enchanting Island” or as they say in Spanish “La Isla del Encanto.” Viviana and Jose celebrated their love in San Jorge Catholic Church, a 400-year old church built by as a missionary outpost in San Juan. After the ceremony, we went to Old San Juan for some great portraits. Finally, we headed to Casa de España for an amazing Reception. A very, very special thanks to Krista Hall Jefferson who helped me shoot this wedding.

Viviana’s Wedding Dress was lovely!

Viviana Looked Amazing!

- The Groom, Jose, with his Crew.

The Church was stunning. I still can’t believe that it is 400-years old!

- In a “Callejon” within Old San Juan..simply paradise!

In front of “Casa de España.” What a lovely place for photos.

A special thanks goes to Eugenia M. Murillo (787) 568-3511. She is an amazing wedding planner in Puerto Rico!
Viviana and Jose, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your most special day. I wish you both everlasting happiness!
Today, Jose, Viviana, and I met at Deering Estate Park for their engagement session!

The day was fantastic with bright blue skyes and really, REALLY WARM South Florida temperatures. We all arrived at 10am and were about to begin our session when suddenly we felt them: mosquitoes!! Too many for us to count, and I was wearing shorts! So I decided to make a quick run to the nearby gas station to buy “Off insect repellent”. Thank God for “Off,” because other wise, those mosquitoes would have eaten us alive!!!
Mosquitos were not the only insects we encountered during our engagement session. We also had a friendly encounter with these:

- The “Golden Orb Weaver” is the Spider family located at Deering Estate Park.
It seems that this seasonal spider is prolific in Deering Estate and let me tell you, there were many!! But relax, according to the Park Rangers, these spiders are harmless to human beings, they are just “scary looking”! Well, we didn’t try to test their theory so we let them be and carefully maneuvered ourselves through some of the webs to catch some great images! Jose and Viviana were amazing and very brave! Thanks to their braveness, I took these images of them:

After a great beginning, we headed over to the main house for additional images. I wont kid you, the day was hot and humid, but these two made it feel so much better as I had a great time capturing their love. Enjoy the rest of the images below:

Next stop for us is Puerto Rico! Jose and Viviana’s wedding is next month in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico and let me tell you: it will be explosive!
Jose and Viviana, thank you for the great time today, enjoy these previews and I look forward to your wedding in Puerto Rico next month!
What an awesome time I had photographing Amelia (Ame) and Arturo (Art) this past weekend in Puerto Rico! I cannot begin to tell you how much fun we all had in “La Isla del Encanto–The Enchanted Island.” Puerto Rico is a gorgeous island and the good God blessed us with fantastic weather. We flew in on Friday for sunset photos by El Morro and some night shots within El Viejo San Juan. On Saturday, we spent the day in El Viejo San Juan to enjoy its colorful richness. Ame and Art are both an enchanting couple. I think their most valuable characteristic is that they truly know how to enjoy life. They are always in such laughter and joy it made our two-day trip fly by too fast! I would like to thank Ame’s family for giving us a place to stay Friday night and specially to Ame’s aunt for driving us back to the Airport so fast!
On the last image below, you will notice a photograph of Ame and Art by the fountains. Well, we had been planning that shot since the night before when I saw it as we were driving by. As our time on Saturday was closing and we had to catch our 3:45pm flight back home (I could not miss the bridal show on Sunday), we noticed that we were running out of time. Nonetheless, instead of going home, we took courage and decided to change, walk a few blocks to the fountain, and take some shots (all within 20 minutes). It was crazy and wild, but we did it!!!!! We drove really fast back home, grabbed our baggages and literally jetted to the airport where we made it in the nick of time all thanks to Ame’s Aunt!
This trip was fun, exciting, wild, and enchanting all at once!! I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite images here below:

Ame calls Art her "moon" and since the moon was out, she asked me if I could photograph them with it. Here is the end result. (right)

Thank you Ame and Art for the amazing experience in Puerto Rico! I look forward to your wedding in June!
