This week, my wonderful sister and brother-in-law came to Miami to enjoy the sun before winter kicks-in back home in Toronto. Of course, along with them came my wonderful God-Son Armando Nicolas (Mimi) whom I completely adore. You have seen this beautiful family before on my blog. You can see more of them here and here. I love hanging out with Mimi because he is just extremely funny. Just under three years of age, Mimi is discovering the world and he makes that so evident by all his crazy anecdotes. Yesterday, we had a fun day under the Miami sun at the Miami Seaquarium and the Beach. Mimi has never been to the Miami Seaquarium and it was hilarious to see his reaction to the flying dolphins and the soaking Lolita the Killer Whale.
We started the day at the Seaquarium:

For me there is no greater pleasure than to be with family. Mimi had a blast, we all did!
The first show we saw was the SeaLion Show. Even though the voices of the trainers were hard to hear, the SeaLions needed no voice of their own to make this show one of my personal favorites.

SeaLion showing his rescue technique!
After the SeaLion Show, we headed over to the the main attraction: Lolita the Killer Whale. Lolita is eternal! She’s been in captivity for too long, but more on that later. Watch as Mimi and the entire family gets soaked!

Check out these wicked Dolphins!

Dolphins are so noble. I love these creatures.
The Miami Seaquarium is also home to Iguanas and Crocodiles and exotic birds. Here is a photo of one of the talented Iguanas…

My grandparents from my father’s side had a collection of Macaws such as the ones below that ranged from 7 to 10 of these colorful birds. In my native country of Venezuela, we call them Guacamayas. Aren’t they beautiful?

We finished the day at the Crandon Park beach. Here is a photo of Mimi having fun in the water.
