Bruno is Back!

Today, I took Bruno to the park for the first time after his operation. I love taking Bruno to Kennedy Park in Coconut Grove because it is a wonderful environment for dogs. Bruno had a blast and so did I taking a few shots of him. Enjoy!

Bruno goes to the Vet

Today, I took Bruno to the Humane Society of Greater Miami to get neutered. I’ve never neutered my pets before, so I was pretty nervous to say the least!  As I arrived at around 7:45 am this morning, I was surprised to see so many dogs waiting in line! Well, I must say that the people at the Humane Society took very good care of Bruno. I picked him up at 4:00pm only to find his poor puppy eyes like those of a drunken dude trying to focus. He was all dizzy and could barely walk. I had to carry him to the car and take the elevator instead of the stairs today.  The vet gave me some pain meds and of course placed an e-collar on him to be removed a week or so from now.

Look at those teary eyes...they just kill me!

As I write this, I notice that once in a while he sits down from laying on the floor and looks at me whining.  I know he’s in pain, but it will pass soon. Pain meds begin tomorrow.

A Day with my Super Duper God-Son

This week, my wonderful sister and brother-in-law came to Miami to enjoy the sun before winter kicks-in back home in Toronto. Of course, along with them came my wonderful God-Son Armando Nicolas (Mimi) whom I completely adore. You have seen this beautiful family before on my blog. You can see more of them here and here. I love hanging out with Mimi because he is just extremely funny. Just under three years of age, Mimi is discovering the world and he makes that so evident by all his crazy anecdotes.  Yesterday, we had a fun day under the Miami sun at the Miami Seaquarium and the Beach. Mimi has never been to the Miami Seaquarium and it was hilarious to see his reaction to the flying dolphins and the soaking Lolita the Killer Whale.

We started the day at the Seaquarium:

For me there is no greater pleasure than to be with family. Mimi had a blast, we all did!

The first show we saw was the SeaLion Show.  Even though the voices of the trainers were hard to hear, the SeaLions needed no voice of their own to make this show one of my personal favorites.

After the SeaLion Show, we headed over to the the main attraction: Lolita the Killer Whale. Lolita is eternal! She’s been in captivity for too long, but more on that later. Watch as Mimi and the entire family gets soaked!

The Miami Seaquarium is also home to Iguanas and Crocodiles and exotic birds. Here is a photo of one of the talented Iguanas…

My grandparents from my father’s side had a collection of Macaws such as the ones below that ranged from 7 to 10 of these colorful  birds. In my native country of Venezuela, we call them Guacamayas. Aren’t they beautiful?

We finished the day at the Crandon Park beach. Here is a photo of Mimi having fun in the water.

Make-up Day!

My beautiful wife and I were guests at a friend’s wedding this past Sunday. Wait…did I say “guests”? YES! I said “guests”! it has been a long time since I’ve been a guest at a wedding and it definitely felt weird; nonetheless, we had a blast!

On the Saturday prior to the wedding, Andre and I searched Yorkdale Mall for a makeup artist so my girl could look great for the wedding.  After much searching (almost everything was booked), we met Moe from MicaBella at The Bay.  I love watching my wife get pampered and I decided to take some shots! Even though she really doesn’t need any makeup, since she is naturally gorgeous, it was fun to watch her and capture the moment!

After the session, we went home and got ready for a joyful night next to the newly weds! Andrea looked fantastic, but I don’t have to say it, just look!

I am very proud of my wonderful Sister-in-Law! She recently became a Realtor here in Toronto and is doing an amazing job making a reality out of the dreams of many people who desire to own their own homes.  On my current trip, she asked me to take some great images of her for publication. We were blessed with great light and a gorgeous day. Below are two of those images she will be using. Enjoy!
