Yesterday, I covered the FIU home game versus the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UARL). The FIU women’s team is on a 10-game winning streak (this was their tenth). They absolutely ROCKED the girls of Arkansas as they beat them 3-2 on a nerve-wrenching game that kept everybody on the edge of their seats until the last moments. Tonight is their last home game before I leave to Canada so this will be a special game for me; they will be playing Arkansas State University (ASU).
Below is an image of the girls warming up before the game. They are wearing pink shirts in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

The girls played an aggressive first two sets pounding hard on UALR.

It’s impressive the air-time these girls have when they spike the Volleyball. As the team would prepare the attack, the crowd would chant “F-I-U” on the last three steps making the arena tremble as the players spiked the ball.
