Alright folks, I now present to you the beautiful Fabiola! Fabiola is a Venezuelan-Spanish-Italian woman who’s passionate about life and living life to the fullest! We headed to Downtown Miami for some amazing images. Downtown Miami is so diverse, it’s like Disney world for the daring photographer! Before photographing Fabiola, I took a look at some of her personal photographs to see what style of clothing caught my eye. Right off the bat, the two combinations that you see in this photo-shoot caught my attention, so I asked her to wear them! The result you can see for yourself.  Fabiola was amazing throughout the entire process which took less than two hours! Anytime sessions are about expressing who you are and capturing moments that define you. Fabiola expressed life and joy, she was a real trooper! Thank you Fabiola for a great time and transmitting that positive energy!!!

We started our session at the foot of the bridge that divides Brickell Avenue and Downtown Miami.

After the Bridge and some more shots by the Intercontinental Hotel, we headed over to NE 2St and 2AVE by under the shadow of a colorful building. Prior to every shoot, I tend to drive around the city to find the places I want to shoot on. I take photographs with my handheld camera and take notes. I transfer that information and make myself a road map for the entire shoot, streamlining the process. I find this “pre-production” help my clients to be more at ease as I know exactly where I’m going. My clients should only have to worry about looking great in front of the camera!

Towards the end of our session, we headed over a local construction site. Fabiola’s green outfit made such an amazing contrast with the ruggedness of the entire scene, that it was sweet to photograph.

I must note that all of these poses where the product of the client-photographer chemistry. None of these images were 100% directed by me; rather, they were a combination of my ideas and that of Fabiola’s. I find this to be extremely important because I’m a strong believer that chemistry is very important in photography. Before choosing your photographer, get to know them, share some time and you will soon see if he or she is the right person for you.  I’ve experienced this in all my shoots and I continue to discover this as truth.

As indicated in my previous post, last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Maria Alejandra with her cousin Vanessa.  Maria or “Ale” as she likes to be called, just graduated from high school. Oh, those were the times!!! I remember my own high school times and all the fun I had. I was blessed to attend MAST Academy, a magnificent school with top rated professors and a great location (water on all sides!) Any ways, Ale looked great and she handled being in front of the camera like a pro! She did not show one ounce of nervousness! Enjoy some of my favorites and the slide show below them!

Ale, I wish you the best of luck as you begin college! You will do great in whatever field you decide to study!

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful Vanessa. Vanessa and I have known each other for some time and when she expressed her desire to do a photo session with me, I was honored. Though she’s never had a photo shoot, she wanted images that would express  who she really was: a woman of character, confidence, and beauty.   This is exactly what I love about anytime sessions, they give you an opportunity to capture who you are.

We started our day at the heart of the Miami Banking industry, Brickell Avenue in Downtown.  With such grand appearance, Brickell offers an incredible arrays of choices for great portraits.  Below are some of my favorites.

We then walked to Brickell Bay.  The day was absolutely gorgeous, but it was also extremely HOT! Vanessa did not help, because she looked great, adding more heat to the day!

There is a little story behind the image below.  As my clients get comfortable with the camera, they often become creative do unexpected things, which is totally awesome!! In this case, I was shooting Vanessa by the edge of the bay when she decided to crawl along it.  Noticing this  I laid down on the side, positioning myself for the best shot, when one of my sandals came loose and fell to the water!  Immediately Vanessa began to laugh and I found my self with one sandal and a bare foot!  Well, my ingenuity paid off because I used one of my light stands to pick up the sandal from the water. It was not easy and it took us several minutes, but we did it!

Our next stop was Coconut Grove. on our way there we stopped by Monty’s for some fun shots by the pier.

The other day, I was invited to photograph Ms. Taylor and her lovely horse Doc.  Although young, Taylor is a seasonsed rider.  I love horses! It is my dream that one day I will own a farm with a few horses. While that dream comes true, please enjoy the images below. They are but some of my favorites of the day.
