Mario and Jeannine tie the knot!

Last night I had an unforgettable night photographing two individuals that through the process of capturing their engagement have become very dear to me. This is a pure example of how clients form a long lasting bonds with their photographers and create great friendships within the photography process. They fell in love with the photos taken in the design district. Then a few months later, we traveled to New York for another amazing engagement session. Last night, their wedding took place in the historic Roman Catholic church Gesu.  Gesu is a spectacular church located in Downtown Miami.  Father Eddy Alvarez S.J. is the pastor. Him and I go a long way as he was my spiritual director for many years, specially when I was in the seminary.  Yes! I went to the seminary for two years discerning the vocation to the priesthood. In the end, I did not become a priest as I discerned that I was not called to be one; rather, I received a great formation and a deeper appreciation for the sacrament of marriage. I’m blessed to have found my true vocation…you are looking at it! The reception was celebrated in the Grand Ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel, where a live band played great music.

Next to me capturing this amazing wedding was Julien for Merge Studios. This was the first time I worked with Julien and I must tell you that he is an amazing cinematographer.  His videos speak for themselves as he has an amazing style.

Please enjoy some of the photos of taken last night.  These are “hot off the Digital Darkroom” as they were taken just a few hours ago!
